Long hiatus. Got married!
The ceremony was in the small church I grew up going to every Sunday.
Our friends and families came together from every corner of the earth.
Walking into the sanctuary
and seeing all those faces
was so overwhelmingly touching.
So many people who love Anga.
So many people who love me.
All coming together to bless our marriage.
To celebrate one of the most important decisions of our lives.
I think I’d expected to feel more… peppy.
But it was morrrrre…
affirming
and beautiful.
I felt grateful
and emotional.
I was feeling all the feelings!
Anga and I still revel in the fact that we even found each other.
In Ngungu of all places.
And now we revel in the fact that our families and friends got to experience this incredible cultural collision that was our wedding. So many beautiful people from such vastly different worlds, coming together for what really wasn’t a collision at all.
It was more just like… a big dance party.
An all around solid life cycle event.
