teaching, learning and living around the world
We just finished a whole class case study of the Mongol Empire, and read and wrote about various perspectives on three of their leaders- Genghis Khan, Kublai Khan, and Batu Khan. Students have now begun round two of independent research- this time around we are focusing on Asia.
I wanted a way for students to collect basic information while also really zeroing in on TIME and PLACE and understanding how they intersect. After showing them my sample google map:
They’ve been taking everything to a whole new level. I can’t wait to show off the fun and smart maps they’ve created… the new features they figured out how to use… it’s all very exciting. Google maps are awesommmme.
